Less-Stress Holiday Launch

Step 1:   Wake up 5 minutes earlier and visualize your day, from beginning to end, unfolding exactly as you would like it to.
Step 2:  Choose a touch-stone and place it in your pocket or in a place that you will see it often.  When you see it or touch it, use this as an opportunity to ground yourself in the present moment.   Stop your mind from its crazy-multi-tasking and focus in on the matter at hand.
Step 3.   Practice 10 deep slow breaths counting 4 seconds in, 8 seconds hold, and 8 seconds out. You can do this exercise watching TV, walking the dog, or showering.  Breathing in this manner will release both toxins and stress that have accumulated in your body.
Use these techniques to launch yourself into less-stress on a daily basis!

We All Are One

Today is 11/11.  It's a great day to remind yourself of your connection to all that is. Never feel alone.  We all are one.

You chose your direction and know the Universe supports your decision.

Thank you Veterans

Today is a day to be grateful and have an open heart.  To acknowledge those who have served our country with an immensity of appreciation and love for these veterans and their loved ones.

I spy...

Beautiful fall leaves, still clinging on to the trees. Vibrant yellow, fiery red, glowing orange.  This has been the longest stretch of autumn leaf-weather in 3 years.  I am loving it. Soak it in!

Plant Based Fun Eating Out

Some friends wonder how I eat out at restaurants since I eat plant based foods.  Last night was a fun example.  The menu offered penne pasta with broccoli-rabe and shrimp.  I asked our server if I could have that dish, without the shrimp.  He said he would have to ask the chef.  I thought that was odd, since I was asking for a subtraction on the dish.  But, he went back to the kitchen and returned and said, not a problem.  I threw out the comment that the chef could throw in extra veggies of his choice. The dish came out delicious!  Lots of greens and garlic.  I love when my pasta dish is more green than beige, and this one hit the mark.  Sorry, I ate it all...no photo.
