It is the season for gift giving.  How gracious are you at receiving?  Can you get comfortable accepting a gift without having a gift in return for the giver?  Can you feel that the gifts you give are good enough?
Look at giving and accepting as if you are looking at yourself in the mirror.  How can you be different and feel even better?

Happiness is a Choice

Choosing happiness requires being aware of your emotions and your thoughts.  There is always a way to ratchet your happiness factor up a notch.
Use a 0-10 scale and evaluate how happy you are in this moment.
Now grab a thought - it can be a memory, it can be something you observe in your present moment, or it can be a visualization of your future.  Fill yourself up with that thought and take your happiness level up a notch.  You can do it!

Freedom of choice.  It's a global concept.  I'd like you to internalize the concept of freedom of choice today.  Pay attention to your thoughts and decisions.
When do you decide to take an action becasue you think you "should?"

What if chose to another action?  One that was in alignment with your core values?
Choose to please you today and release the burden of "shoulds."

I begin each day with these two words.  As I open my eyes, I say "thank you."   

As each foot touches the ground, I say "thank" and "you."  Thanks and gratitude carry with them a very high energetic vibration that will set the course for your day.

This is a week to focus upon giving thanks.  

Find new ways to give of yourself.  Be of service to others.  The smallest act of kindness does not go unnoticed by the Universe.

It Is Eleven Eleven

Today's date is both a reminder to be grateful to the men and women who have served our nation and protected us, and that we are all one. 

Whenever I see the time, 11:11, I feel as if fairy dust has been sprinkled over me.  

For all the separation I may be experiencing from what I think I can and should do, from those around me, from my higher self - I am then reminded of this endless connection to oneness.  Including oneness with all aspects of myself.

I hope today you too will feel a sprinkling of fairy dust and feel both ever-thankful to others and connected to all.

Living Food

How much  living food do you put into your body each day?  My son argues with me that once the plant is cut from its source, it is no longer living.  But you get the idea. 

Raw plant food has active enzymes and a vibrancy to it that is alive!

When you eat live food, you will feel alive.  Try eating raw, living food without accompanying it with cooked foods, or on an empty stomach.  You will feel your body become electrified!  Try a smoothie of greens, berries, and seeds, or a huge salad.  Bite into a crisp fall apple.  Add living food to your life today!

Let It Go

I have always thought some of the most powerful words are, "Just Do It" as coined by Nike.  When you "just do it", you release fear and worry and step into your life's purpose.  Three more words, made famous by the song from the Disney movie Frozen, are "Let It Go!"

In my studies at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, I learned about Integrative Medicine.  

Integrate - or view as one - Your Body.
 
When you feel aches and pains or sense your eyesight diminishing, zoom out with your mind's eye and observe your whole body.  Refrain from focusing upon your parts.

How does the part that aches integrate with the whole?
What message does the pain or discomfort have for you?
How is your energy body involved?
What stuck negative emotions are you holding onto that may be contributing to your condition?

I am going to lean toward "Yes" being your answer.  What if you shifted your consciousness toward counting your blessings?  How would our day unfold differently?                          What you think about, you bring about.

What Happens When You Try?

When you "try" to do something, you leave a gap that is vulnerable to allowing in what you don't want to experience.  Trying leaves room for failing.  It creates an excuse for your action not to manifest into your desired outcome.

Today, choose to intend.  Couple your intention with a visualization of your desired outcome.  Ask yourself, "How will I feel when I have what I want?"  Step into intention and action from this feeling place.

Thank You

Want to join me in my "thank you" practice?  I awake each  morning and say, "Thank you" several times. 
Sometimes I am saying thank you to my body, for arising.  I say thank you to morning, thank you to life.  
I write correspondence to others to say, "thank you." 
 
Thank you carries with it a powerful energetic vibration.  Saying, "thank you" will make you feel great, will elevate your awareness to the vibration of gratitude, and will enhance the energy of the recipient of your gratitude.  
My son will often ask when writing correspondence, "Mom, is thankyou one word?"  Good question.  They surely pair up together well.

Let it Go

I've said it before and it is a mantra worth re-visiting.  Do you ever get hung up on something that went wrong and simply continue to play back the tape of that scene in your mind?  I did this morning.  When I was done ranting and desired to let it go, I still had a difficult time doing so.  Then I relied on a trusty visualization that generally works very well for me. 

I imagine the problem or challenge wrapped inside a helium balloon and then allow it to drift away.  Today, the balloon that came to me was black in color and so weighty that it could barely take off.  I stuck with my visualization and was finally able to release my feelings around the challenge.  Later today, I even laughed about it.
